What are the limitations of the dental plan?

The only limits of the dental plan are that you must go to a provider on the list. The providers are carefully screened, credentialed, and selected in order to secure that you are given a choice of some of the finest dentist in your area.

Everyone wants good quality dental care at an affordable price. This is a great program that can fill that void.

Work in progress after enrollment on the dental plan must be completed by the dentist who started the work. Any dental procedures performed by a nonparticipating dentist are not discounted.

Who can I include as a family member?

- A spouse or common law partner
- A child to age 19, or 23 if full time student
- A disabled child who is fully dependent on you for support

If you have an older child or parent you wish to include, they can select to include themselves as an individual on their own individual application and plan.

What if I want to add or drop family members later?

You need to include family members now. You may add/drop family member later if you have a change in family status due to marriage, divorce, birth of a child, responsibility for a child because of divorce, adoption, etc. To drop a family member, a change form needs to be completed and faxed to us.

How many times a year can I have my teeth cleaned?

Teeth cleanings are discounted at the price listed in the Schedule of Fees twice per year, or every six months. Additional cleanings will be charged at dentist's regular fees and may vary by office.

What qualifications determine if a provider is eligible for the Provider Panel?

Dentists must meet the plan administrators highly selective credentialing process which is based on education, background, location, office facilities, and other requirements.

There isn't a Provider very close to me. What can I do?

You must see one of the providers in the plan for discounts. There are no discounts when a provider, not a part of the plan, is utilized. Call 800-290-0523 to inform CAREINGTON International of the need for providers in your area, or you can suggest to your dentist that he/she apply to join the plans provider panel. He/she can call CAREINGTON International at 800-290-0523 and ask for a new provider packet from the Member Services Department. You may also call the same number and ask that CAREINGTON International call your dentist.

My Dentist isn't currently on the Provider Panel. What can I do?

Have your dentist call CAREINGTON International at 800-290-0523 and ask for a new provider packet from the Member Services Department. While it is not guaranteed that a provider will join the plan, CAREINGTON International has found that when a potential provider initiates the process, the chances of success are much greater. You may also call the same number and ask CAREINGTON International to call your dentist.

Please be aware that the credentialing and qualifying period can take time, sometimes as long as six months, depending on the speed of response for the dentist.

Can I use my plan away from home when I am traveling?

Yes, there are literally thousands of providers across the country that you may see. Simply call the toll free number on the back of your card to locate a provider near you.

What type of emergency discounts does this plan provide?

In case of an emergency, a Member should contact their usual network provider. If he/she is unavailable, contact Member Services at the number listed on the back of your card and they will assist you in locating another provider.

Can this plan coordinate discounts with other insurance companies? If so, how?

Yes, this plan can coordinate discounts with other indemnity dental insurance companies. In order to receive discounts from the plan, you must see one of the listed providers. After paying the reduced fee, you will need to file a claim form with your indemnity dental insurance company for reimbursement.

When will I be able to use the plan once I sign up?

Your discounts begin the day it is received either via the online enrollment method or if an application is sent to PRO Insurance by fax. So using this method means that you can use any of this exciting cards discounts immediately when CAREINGTON International receives member information from PRO Insurance! If paying by automatic monthly checking withdrawal, your coverage will generally start on the 1st day of the next month.

How do I use the plan?

When you are effective for discounts, you may contact a provider on the provider list and make an appointment. The dentist office will call CAREINGTON International to verify coverage.

You will only pay the discounted fee according to the schedule of fees, which are outlined by ADA code (American Dental Association).

When will I get a card?

If you signed up over the Internet, you will get a permanent card which is mailed to your home address in about 7-10 business days. If you haven't received your permanent card, please e-mail us so that we can have a new card sent.

How long has this plan been in business?
